Citing the ʿAbbasid caliph al-Nasir li-din Allah (AH 575-622 / AD 1180-1225) within a square, ‘al-imām al-Nāṣir / li-dīn Allāh amīr / al-muʾminīn Aḥmad’ (‘Imam al-Nasir li-din Allah Ahmad, Commander of the Believers’ in Arabic); in the margin, ‘lā ilāha illā / Allāh waḥdahū / lā sharīka lahū / Muḥammad rasūl [Allāh]’ (‘There is no deity but Allah, the One, there is no partner to Him. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah’ in Arabic). Rev.
